Founded in 1895 by the Bredemeier family, E.W. Bredemeier & Co. began as a producer of button cards, a staple for merchants in the burgeoning fabric and apparel markets. Over time, we evolved alongside the industries we served, crafting stunning sample books and swatch cards for clothing and drapery fabrics. These tools became essential for merchants—from door-to-door salespeople to luxury showroom designers.
During the Great Depression, Bredemeier showcased its resilience by pivoting to meet diverse demands, producing whatever was needed to survive. By World War II, we proudly contributed to the war effort by creating portable materials for soldiers, including compact checker sets.
As the internet and e-commerce reshaped the marketplace, E.W. Bredemeier adapted once again, evolving from a family-run operation into a trusted partner for corporations and leading brands worldwide.
